Our house is situated in Nerja - a delightful and largely unspoiled Andalusia seaside town lying some 50 kilometers east of Malaga on the southern Mediterranean coast of Spain.
From Malaga airport you can get to Nerja by car, bus or taxi.
The journey time is about fifty minutes and is all easy driving on the Autovia del Mediterraneo. 
Alternatively, there are now flights to Granada, also about 50 minutes away.

Facilities at San Juan de Capistrano

Swimming Pool


Just a two minute walk from the apartment there's a lovely pool area with an additional toddlers pool on a lower level. The pool is large and is one of the best in the Nerja area, it's security controlled, has a lifeguard on duty at all times and is for the exclusive use of people staying at San Juan de Capistrano. Children just love it here and many people return year after year.
For sunbathing and
lounging there’s a lawned garden area  surrounding the two pools. Many people are content to spend most or even all of their holiday here in this lovely spot. 
From here are beautiful views all around, both down to the coast and town below and to the hills surrounding and above. Serving the immediate pool area is a choice of cafe’s providing drinks, snacks and other amenities and just outside there’s a well equipped mini-market.
At a level just below  the pool there’s an additional area with a choice of small bars and restaurants. This area is popular at night if you want to eat out without having to travel down into the town. The menus here are quite varied and the food is relatively inexpensive yet good quality.



Gardens
There are garden areas and passageways abounding with beautiful lush Mediterranean flowers, shrubs and trees, all lovingly maintained by  full time gardeners.


Our house

Our house, pictured here, is a delightful south facing two bedroom villa apartment in the San Juan de Capistrano development, set in a hillside above Nerja and edged right onto the parque natural, yet the town centre is just ten minutes away by car or bus. 
Due to its’ superb location, by nature, the development is hilly with lots of attractive steps and passage ways and the apartments are set amid garden areas abounding with tropical  Mediterranean flowers, shrubs and trees, all lovingly maintained by the communities own full time gardeners.
All the properties are privately owned and individually styled and the whole of the complex is built in the traditional Andalusian style of white walls and Spanish tile roofs. Another local feature is the extensive use of black wrought iron gates and windows.  
From our terrace there’s a beautiful panoramic view over the rooftops down to the sea which is about a mile and a half away, and sideways to the surrounding hills.

Outside

The large sunny terrace, finished in attractive Spanish tiling, is a prime feature of the apartment and has a covered roof area giving a shaded spot when needed which is an important feature in summer. It's also set with a variety of outside furniture for lounging or dining.
As the evening closes in there’s subtle outdoor lighting which makes it nice and cosy, and as a finishing touch there are a variety of outdoor plants. From here, while enjoying your barbecued al-fresco dinner sunsets can be quite spectacular.
Because of the normally beautiful weather, if you like eating outside, most ‘at home’ meals can taken in this alternative dining area and breakfast too is a big favourite here.

Lounge
There's a lounge with a dining area, and through an arch, the kitchen, while a cross-wise hallway leads to the bathroom and bedrooms.
The  apartment is tastefully appointed throughout and each room contains modern Spanish furniture.
There are polished marble floors and lots of background lighting.
Too keep you cool when required there are two floor mounted pedestal fans which can be moved around as required.


Dining Area
There are matching two and three seater settees and display units complete with lots of drawers, shelves and cupboards and
included for your use are a player for CD / radio / audio cassette stereo and 20” TV on cable with UK programs.


Kitchen
Includes recently fitted units with lots of storage cupboards, large modern fridge-freezer, automatic washing machine, four ring ceramic hob, built in electric cooker, microwave oven and coffee machine. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need in the way of utensils, pots and pans, glasses and crockery.

Bathroom

Bathroom recently refurbished and fitted out with overhead shower, wash basin with large overhead mirror and lighting. Toilet, large storage cupboard and extractor fan.


No 1 Bedroom
         
Double bed, large wardrobe, bedside cabinets and dressing table. Double doors to the terrace.
Matching soft furnishings.

No 2 Bedroom
Twin beds with matching bedside cabinets, large wardrobe, chest of drawers and matching soft furnishings.


Rental Conditions

  1. Prices are for the lease of the apartment per week and are fully inclusive of electricity 
  2. The standard accomodation is for 4 persons with the possibility of 1 extra person, this being subject to agreement
  3. The preferred rental start day is Friday but other days will be considered on request
  4. Rentals falling in two different periods or for part weeks will be priced directly pro-rata

Rental prices and how to make a deposit, balance payment or booking
Following a booking, both Deposit and Final Balance payments may be made by any of the following  means -
  1. By PayPal in UK Pounds  
  2. Credit card through the Villa Renters system 
  3. Direct payment into my UK bank account
  4. By PayPal in Euros
  5. For further details of these options see a. and b. below -
 Our house is advertised and promoted on several promotional websites including Portside Promotions, Villa Renters,  Homelidays and IHA holiday systems.

a. For UK residents paying in UK Pounds (£) - Our house is advertised and promoted on both the Portside Promotions and Villa Renters Homelidays holiday web systems. On either of these system you can view the bookings calendar for availablity and see the seasonal rental prices - and then go on to make a booking if you wish. Which one should you use ?  Portside Promotions or VillaRenters ?

    With this option all your booking details will be handled directly by me (Portside Promotions are an 'information only' website). Click on this link if you want to make an inquiry first before finalising a booking, in which case an email enquiry will be sent to me.
Having made a booking, you should then use this option if you want to pay by PayPal in UK  Pounds or by Direct payment to my UK bank account. In the case of PayPal - I will send you a payment request by email, you don't have to have a PayPal account to do this.


      Click on the Villa Renters link if you prefer a more automated approach where an instant booking may be made. Once a booking is made I will then contact you directly .  If you  don't want to make an instant booking you can still click on this option to just send me an inquiry to check things out first. Use this option if you prefer to pay by credit card.

b.  By PayPal in Euros is the preferred method for non UK EU residents who have perhaps made an inquiry  through the    or  websites and  who want  to pay in Euros (€). When making an inquiry through this option an email will be sent to me and we can confirm the payment method there.
